if anything it’s due to it being rich? Any takes of that? I will eventually do the pair valve mod n again under the impression since it’s not lean, holding off on the pair valve mod and letting its snap crackle pop n flame for a month shouldn’t be hard on the bike.!? If anything it’s jus gnna toast the spark plugs!? Here’s a few before and after pics for y’all. since I did the ecu flash the map is somewhat custom for the mods so I’m assuming the popping isn’t from running lean. the bike is flaming like a freaking dragon. I still have to do the pair valve mod getting a lot of popping at decel. Any other reputable company for ecu flash? I can get a PCV for 250-300 or ECUnleashed charges 450 to flash the ECU. Should I go with a mid pipe or get headers? I saw MJS midpipe for $140 or headers that come with the midpipe obviously for $320 or any other suggestions on which mid-pipe should I go with? I couldn’t find anything 2bros specific.Īfter getting rid of the cat should I go with ECU flash or PCV? I won’t be doing anything to the bike after the cat delete so I’m leaning more towards the ECU flash over the PCV. ECU Flashing for the 2014-2020 Honda NC750. The few hp gain would be nice but i care more about the smooth throttle response, low end power and the sound. spring wtf fuck!?!?!Īnyway first of this is going to be for street riding only. n now that I think about it I should have gotten this taken care of in the winter but we got snow coming in 2 days n its april. I had to remove the insulator on the staple and then bend the legs back to hold the switch in place.Alrite peeps finally riding season in NY. Then, I drilled the holes out and used these staples I had lying around to hold the switch to the bracket. Once I found the perfect position, I used a very small drill bit to mark the bracket through the mounting holes of the switch. This all should be fairly evident in the pictures above. To achieve this, I did have to bend the metal bit that actually pushes the button so that it hugged the top of the shift rod. So that as soon as the shift rod moves up at all, the switch is closed. So, I experimented until I found a position in which the button has very slight pressure on it at all times. The switch should close *just* before you engage into the next gear. From this point, I mounted the bracket and then positioned the switch by hand before I secured it to the bracket.Īs I said, you want the switch to activate as you're shifting. You want the bracket to be formed in a Z shape of sorts, so that the switch lines up in the middle of your shift rod as best as it can. You're going to use the upper right-most bolt on your counter shaft sprocket cover case as the mounting point for your bracket. You can find them at Radio Shack for about $3.50. The fuel cut has to correlate with your shift, and this tutorial will show you have to make that happen. It doesn't help to cut fuel for 1/10th of a second before or after you try to shift. The key to this working is that the ECU must see this signal at the correct time. The quick shift switch is what allows the 5V to pass through to the other wire. This takes load off of your transmission and allows you to shift. When the 5V signal from Wire 1 is connected to Wire 2 who is looking for the signal, the ECU knows it's time to shift! So, a subroutine is ran in the processor that cuts fuel injection for less than 1/10th of a second. Jump to Latest Follow 41 - 60 of 73 Posts. Then, they also have another wire actively waiting to receive this 5V signal at all times. Essentially, they program the ECU to send a 5V signal out on a particular wire at all times when the bike is running. Here's my writeup for how to make your own quick shifter! This particular writeup is for use with K6 and K7 600 or 750s with a FlashTune flashed ECU, but the principle will be the same for any bike that is quick shift ready.įirst, a quick summary of how the FlashTune quick shift works.
